Tip 1: You can use 500K or 250K pots on any guitar with passive pickups (i.e. not battery powered). 500K systems are more common. 250K pots give a slightly "darker" sound.
Tip 2: You can use .47uF or .22uF capacitors. .47uF values are more often used with single coils as they have a greater range ang can help to tame some of the brightness associated with these pickups. a.22uF are more often used with humbuckers, but the 2 types are interchangeable to taste.

1. Your guitar will need to accept 10mm collar pots (i.e. not 18mm long collar as fitted on some US instruments).
2. You will need 4-wire humbuckers.
3. Pickup manufacturers use differing colour codes for their pickups. We supply a diagram showing the correct colours for IronGear pickups and may be able to assist with identifying the colour codes for your pickups. In most cases, we are able to email a diagram showing the correct colours for your installed pickups.
